The National Science Foundation developed this collection of resources and tools that support and enhance science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education.
 
This site combines Google Earth with great literature!  College and university students are able to visualize and explore classic travel stories by renowned authors.
 
This collection features hundreds of free video lectures and course materials from colleges and universities in the United States and China.  Much of the content is available for download.
 
The goal of Academic Commons is to form a community of faculty, academic technologists, librarians, administrators, and other academic professionals who will help create a comprehensive web resource focused on liberal arts education. Academic Commons aims to share knowledge, develop collaborations, and evaluate and disseminate digital tools and innovative practices for teaching and learning with technology.
 
Developed at the University of Colorado at Boulder, these online interactive simulations illustrate physics principles related to topics such as projectile motion, static electricity, and electromagnetic fields.
 
Proteopedia is a collaborative, 3D encyclopedia of proteins, RNA, DNA, and other molecules.
 
This collection of free courses in English, accessible via YouTube, is a joint venture by Indian Institute of Technology and Indian Institute of Science.  Titles include Introduction to Computer Graphics, Core Science Mathematics, Computer Networks, Introduction to Problem Solving & Programming, Fluid Mechanics, and Environmental Air Pollution.
 
The Science Education Research Center at Carleton College has created a series of resources for higher ed faculty who teach Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).  Included are modules on Teaching with Data Simulations, Teaching With Visualizations, and Interactive Lectures.
 
Evergreen State University developed brief PowerPoint-based modules to help students build spreadsheets and apply relevant mathematics in order to solve problems.  The modules cover topics such as compound interest, radioactive decay, rock density, and chemical equilibrium.  Included is a guide for educators on how to use SSAC in your courses.

This initiative, out of Penn State, aims to facilitate file-sharing among members of higher ed institutions across the globe.
 
Maricopa Learning Exchange (MLX) is designed to be a place for exchange of ideas.  The digital "warehouse" tags its content with information on the creator, college(s) that were involved in its development, contact info, item description, and associated media, such as images, movie clips, documents, and spreadsheets.  The materials are free for educational use as long as its source is cited.
 
iLumina is a digital library of sharable instructional materials targeted at undergraduate instruction in chemistry, biology, physics, math, and computer science.  The resources range from highly granular learning objects (e.g., individual images and video clips) to entire courses.
